The Everett Farmers Market wraps its 33rd season Sunday, Oct. 25, with a final market day running from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 2930 Wetmore Ave.

Shoppers looking to use food-assistance benefits should plan ahead. Senior and WIC Farmers Market Nutrition Program benefits expire Oct. 31, according to the market's website.

EBT token purchases are available until 2:45 p.m. at the Community Connections Booth, which opens at 10:15 a.m. Leftover EBT tokens, matching bucks, SNAP Market Match and Sun Bucks for Kids benefits can all be spent with vendors through the season's final day. Regular WIC monthly fruit and vegetable benefits are separate from the seasonal program and can still be used with participating farmers after October, the market said.

Among the vendors closing out the season is Frog Song Farm, a Skagit River Delta operation run by Nate O'Neil and Shannon Dignum on 16 acres of farmland on Fir Island. The farm has sold produce at regional markets for more than two decades, according to the market's vendor spotlight. O'Neil and Dignum use dry-farming techniques that rely on moisture retained in the rich delta soil. Shoppers can find late-season items like beets, carrots, potatoes, apples and pears at the Frog Song booth. The farm has no website or social media presence.

After Sunday's close, the market will return for a one-day holiday event. The Gather and Give Holiday Celebration is set for Sunday, Nov. 22, from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Wetmore and Wall Street in downtown Everett. The market said the event will include gifts from local makers, prepared foods and fresh produce.

The market can be reached at (425) 422-5656 or [email protected].
