The Port of Everett's third annual Haunted Harbor brings free trick-or-treating on boats, a Witches Paddle and a pumpkin patch to the waterfront on Oct. 23.

The event runs from 4 to 7 p.m. at Pacific Rim Plaza, 1028 13th St., near Hotel Indigo. Admission is free. Activities run rain or shine. The 2025 Haunted Harbor drew more than 1,700 people, according to the Port of Everett's announcement.

The centerpiece is "Troll or Treat," running from 4 to 6 p.m. Children in costume walk boat-to-boat along Guest Dock 5, collecting candy from boaters. For 2026, waterfront businesses and community partners will also set up booths on the esplanade with additional treats and activities. Candy and treat bags are available while supplies last.

Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult on the dock walk, and lifejackets will be available, according to the Port's event page. Costumes must be family-friendly with no masks or gore.

The Witches Paddle runs from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Paddleboarders and kayakers in witch and warlock costumes circle the marina. Anyone who wants to join can email [email protected].

A "Fright Night Fun" zone runs from 4 to 7 p.m. with games, crafts, music, snacks and a free pumpkin patch sponsored by LAZ Parking. Pumpkins are available for all ages while supplies last.

The event also features a Halloween edition of the Port's Float Find scavenger hunt. Attendees search Pacific Rim Plaza, the marina esplanade and Port Gardner Wharf for a small plastic clue ball containing a picture of an octopus. Anyone who finds one can exchange it at Schack Art Center's booth for a handmade orange glass float crafted by local artists. Schack will also offer free kids' activities and handmade blown glass pumpkins for purchase.

Beyond Haunted Harbor, the Port is running Yachtober Fest Drink Bingo at participating waterfront restaurants Oct. 1 through Oct. 31. Visitors collect stamps on bingo cards for fall-themed drinks. Completed cards go in the orange dropbox at Pacific Rim Plaza by Nov. 10 for a chance to win restaurant gift cards.

Boaters who moor at a Port of Everett Marina guest dock during October are automatically entered to win a free two-night guest moorage stay in 2027. Each day of moorage counts as one entry, and the winner will be notified by Nov. 15.
