The Port of Everett's free Haunted Harbor event returns for a third year on Friday, Oct. 23, bringing Halloween activities to Pacific Rim Plaza near Hotel Indigo.
The event runs from 4 to 7 p.m., rain or shine. The 2025 Haunted Harbor drew more than 1,700 people, according to the Port of Everett.
The centerpiece for kids is "Troll or Treat," running from 4 to 6 p.m. Children in costume can trick-or-treat boat-to-boat along Guest Dock 5 near Hotel Indigo. This year, waterfront businesses and community partners will also set up booths along the esplanade for additional candy and activities, according to the Port. Troll or Treat bags are available while supplies last.
The inaugural 2024 event featured a Troll or Treat partnership with Mukilteo Yacht Club and an outdoor screening of Hocus Pocus 2. The 2025 edition added the Float Find activity with Schack Art Center, which returns this year.
For the Float Find, participants search around Pacific Rim Plaza, the marina esplanade and Port Gardner Wharf for a small plastic clue ball containing a picture of an octopus. Anyone who finds one can exchange it at Schack Art Center's booth for a handmade orange glass float crafted by local artists. Schack will also offer free kids' activities and blown glass pumpkins for purchase.
The Witches Paddle runs from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Costumed paddlers on stand-up paddleboards and kayaks circle the Port of Everett Marina. Those interested can email [email protected] to join.
LAZ Parking is sponsoring a free pumpkin patch, available while supplies last.
Additional activities from 4 to 7 p.m. include games, crafts, music, a mini-Float Find for all ages, a costume showing and snacks.
The Port is also running Yachtober Fest Drink Bingo throughout October at participating Waterfront Place restaurants. Visitors collect stamps for purchasing fall-themed beverages and mark off a bingo card for a chance to win a gift card. Non-alcoholic options count. Completed cards must be dropped in the orange dropbox at Pacific Rim Plaza by Nov. 10.
