Everett Public Schools' planned start dates for the new school year have not changed since the district first posted them on April 1.

Those dates are Wednesday, September 2 for grades 1-12, and Tuesday, September 8 for kindergarten.

A June 29 update on the district's website confirmed both dates remain tentative.

The official student calendar is part of collective bargaining expected to wrap up this summer, and no finalization date has been announced.

Under the current contract, the school year begins the Wednesday before Labor Day, falls on September 7 this year.

The full calendar, including breaks, holidays, and parent-teacher conference days, is also pending bargaining. The district said it will share confirmed dates with families as soon as they are finalized.

Families with children turning 5 by Monday, August 31, 2026, can enroll for kindergarten now online or in person at their assigned school. Updates will be posted at everettsd.org.
