Fifteen jazz groups will take over 10 venues along the Everett waterfront tomorrow in what organizers say is the city's first jazz festival.

The inaugural Everett Jazz Walk runs from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. A single wristband gets attendees into all 10 venues for the full seven hours. Every venue is all-ages.

Jazz Clubs NW, a North Bend-based nonprofit that has produced live jazz events across the Pacific Northwest since 2010, is behind the new festival. The organization already runs the North Bend Jazz Walk, now in its 15th year, along with events in Edmonds and Snohomish. Everett is the newest addition to the lineup.

Confirmed performers include Greta Matassa, Jay Thomas, Barrett Martin, John Stowell, Neil Welch, Abbey Blackwell, and The Jazz Punishments, among others listed on the official schedule.

Boxley's, the North Bend jazz club recognized by Downbeat Magazine as one of the world's best, will close its doors on July 11 so performers can head to Everett for the night.
