The Port Gardner Neighborhood Association is throwing a free block party at Kiwanis Park on August 4, and three other Everett neighborhood groups are doing the same across town the same evening for National Night Out.
Here's the full lineup:
Harborview/Seahurst/Glenhaven Neighborhood Association Upper Howarth Park, 1402 Madrona Ave. | 4–7 p.m. | Family friendly
Lowell Neighborhood Association Lowell Park, 4605 S. 3rd Ave. | 5–7 p.m. | Pizza, ice cream, and activities
Port Gardner Neighborhood Association Kiwanis Park, 36th St. & Rockefeller Ave. | 5–7 p.m. | Family friendly
Valley View Neighborhood Association Valley View Commons, 75th St. SE & Ridgewood Dr. | 6–8 p.m. | Ice cream social
All four events are free and open to the public. No registration is required to attend.
The Everett Police Department is coordinating officer visits to registered events, joined by Everett Fire, Everett Transit, Emergency Management, and the Mayor's Office, according to the city's official National Night Out page.
The Port Gardner gathering lands at Kiwanis Park, a half-acre green space behind tree canopy off busy roads, with a playground, basketball court, and open lawn. Everett Parks and Facilities has described it as one of the neighborhood's underused gems, separated from traffic and within walking distance of homes along Rockefeller Avenue.
Want to host your own?
Residents who want to organize their own block party or porch gathering can register through the city's National Night Out page at everettwa.gov/511. The deadline to register and receive a visit from Everett Police or other city departments is Tuesday, July 28.
The city updates the event list at everettwa.gov/511 as new hosts register, so additional gatherings may join the lineup before August 4.
Outside city limits? The Snohomish County Sheriff's Office maintains a separate National Night Out page at snohomishcountywa.gov/310.
