Everett residents can catch live music and drop off a ballot at the same spot when a free concert hits the Snohomish County Campus Amphitheater on Saturday.
The No Kings: Vote Early Concert for Democracy starts at noon Saturday, Oct. 17, at 3000 Rockefeller Ave. in downtown Everett. First reported by myeverettnews.com, the lineup features Singing Resistance Snohomish members Gary Kanter and Greg Deer, and Bellingham singer-songwriter Dana Lyons, known for his comedy hit "Cows With Guns."
Snohomish County Indivisible is sponsoring the concert and providing a canopy stage. The group's founder and director, Anita Dietrich, said the goal is practical.
"With early voting having started in Washington, casting our ballot is our primary tool of authority," Dietrich said. "… We're coming together to make sure everyone has a concrete voting plan and that every legal vote in our community is protected and counted."
The event is free.
An official ballot drop box sits steps from the amphitheater at Rockefeller Avenue and Wall Street. The Snohomish County Elections Office, which offers accessible voting, is in the same campus complex at the Admin. West Building.
Ballots for the Nov. 3 general election were mailed to roughly 535,000 registered voters on Friday, Oct. 9. Snohomish County Auditor Garth Fell said in a Wednesday, Oct. 7, press release that county-operated drop boxes are the most direct way to return a ballot.
Thirty-eight drop boxes are open countywide around the clock until 8 p.m. on Election Day, including three new locations: the Evergreen Library Branch in Everett, Maltby Elementary in Maltby and Salem Woods Elementary in Monroe.
The deadline to register to vote or update registration online or by mail is Monday, Oct. 26.
Beyond the music and voting logistics, the event will include community-engagement tables and a sign-waving rally, according to the Lynnwood Times. Organizers describe the gathering as nonpartisan, focused on turnout rather than candidates.
The Everett concert is one of more than 2,000 No Kings: Vote Early actions planned across all 50 states and Washington, D.C. A similar Snohomish County Indivisible event at Edmonds City Park in October 2025 drew about 2,500 people, the Lynnwood Times reported.
The Nov. 3 ballot includes races for U.S. Representative, state legislators, county prosecuting attorney and judicial seats, plus three statewide initiatives and five proposed amendments to the Snohomish County Charter. Local measures for the City of Everett also appear on the ballot.
Voters can track their ballot status and sign up for text alerts at VoteWA.gov.
