Five Friday nights, a 40-foot inflatable screen, and free popcorn. The Port of Everett's Sail-In Cinema is back for its 11th summer at Boxcar Park.

The series opens Friday, July 24 at 9:20 p.m. with Kicking and Screaming (PG) and runs every Friday through August 21. Admission is free.

Here's the full lineup:

  • Friday, July 24, 9:20 p.m.Kicking and Screaming (PG). Port soccer swag giveaways.
  • Friday, July 31, 9:10 p.m.Captain America: Brave New World (PG-13).
  • Friday, August 7, 9 p.m.Back to the Future (PG). The Pacific Northwest DeLorean Club brings real DeLoreans to the park.

  • Friday, August 21, 8:40 p.m.Zootopia 2 (PG). Face painting by Giggles Entertainment.

Boxcar Park opens one hour before each screening with music, yard games, and free popcorn. The Port recommends low-back chairs or picnic blankets and layers for the waterfront breeze.

Catherine Soper, the Port's Chief of Business Development & Tourism, said the series offers "free entertainment most Friday nights for families" at the waterfront.

Boaters can moor at the marina's Guest Docks on a first-come, first-served basis or reserve through DockWA. Limited viewing is available from North Guest Dock 7, though the Port encourages walking up to the park for the full experience.

The series launched in 2016, the same day the historic Weyerhaeuser Building arrived at Boxcar Park. That building has since reopened as The Muse Whiskey & Coffee. The program survived a pandemic pivot to drive-in format in 2021 before returning to full in-park viewing the following year.

Weather cancellations are posted on the Port's website, Facebook, and Instagram.
