Marina Azul Cocina & Cantina, a family-owned Mexican restaurant with three Eastside locations, opened its first Everett outpost.
About 50 people attended the ribbon-cutting at Fisherman's Harbor Restaurant Row in the Port of Everett's Waterfront Place development on June 25.
Port of Everett Commissioner Tom Stiger addressed the crowd.
Owner Julian Ramos, who was born and raised in San Cayetano near Guadalajara in Jalisco, Mexico, has been in the restaurant business since 2002. His nephew Alejandro and son Esteban will manage the Everett location. The family also operates Cava Azul Cocina & Cantina in Woodinville Wine Country, Agave Cocina & Cantina in Redmond, and Agave Cocina & Cantina at Kent Station.
"We're so excited to be in Everett at Waterfront Place," Ramos said in a Port of Everett press release. "The feedback from our guests has been very positive, and we truly appreciate the warm welcome."
The restaurant occupies roughly 2,500 square feet of interior space plus a covered patio along the marina esplanade, according to Port lease documents. Inside, bright murals and mosaics line the walls, and floor-to-ceiling windows face the esplanade. The covered deck allows year-round al fresco dining with marina views.
The menu features handmade tacos, specialty margaritas, more than 100 sipping tequilas, and dishes like a birria ramen bowl and roast fresh corn ribs. Gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options are available.
Port CEO Lisa Lefeber said the restaurant's outdoor patio and marina views make it a strong addition to the growing Fisherman's Harbor lineup.
Marina Azul joins a wave of recent Restaurant Row tenants: Rustic Cork Wine Bar and The Net Shed Fish Market & Kitchen both opened in December 2025, Tapped Public House opened Monday, March 2, 2026, and Menchie's at the Marina opened in March 2026. South Fork Baking Company and Fisherman Jack's have been open since 2023.
One spot remains in the Restaurant Row building. The Port is actively searching for a breakfast and brunch café to fill it.
