A new Italian-American restaurant with a golf simulator, pool tables and 16 craft taps opened Wednesday, Oct. 14, in downtown Everett.
Tapped Social, at 2900 Grand Ave. at the foot of the Waterline Apartments, is the latest venture from The Way Group Hospitality, My Everett News reported. The venue bills itself as an Italian-American kitchen with scratch-made food, craft taps, pool tables, dart boards, a golf simulator and a private event space.
Owner Sean Drought's hospitality group also runs Tapped Public House and the Net Shed, both at the Everett Waterfront. Tapped Public House opened earlier this year.
The opening menu features Italian dishes including pasta, pizza, sandwiches and sides. My Everett News noted that prices may be on the higher side but said part of the venue's draw is its role as a downtown hangout with games and activities.
Pool starts at $10 an hour, darts at $20 an hour and the golf simulator from $30 an hour.
Beyond the restaurant, Tapped Social includes a rentable event space called The Grand. It holds up to 120 seated guests or 200 reception-style for private dinners, parties and receptions, with Italian food and a full bar.
The opening adds to a string of new businesses arriving in downtown Everett. The Way Group Hospitality is now operating three venues in the city, giving Drought a growing stake in Everett's hospitality scene.
Drought commented on the city's business environment in My Everett News coverage of the Everett City Council's Oct. 14 approval of the Everett Forward business tax reform package. "Any reduction in fixed operating expenses provides real relief for restaurants and bars navigating tight margins," Drought said. He added that the tax update "strengthens Everett's competitiveness in the region and signals that the City understands what it takes to operate a profitable hospitality business."
Tapped Social's hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.
