Everett Public Library cardholders can score free tickets to Silvertips hockey games through a new partnership between the library and the team.
The library's Cultural Access Program, announced Oct. 27, offers passes to Everett Silvertips home games at Angel of the Winds Arena at no cost. The first request window opened Wednesday, Oct. 28, at 10 a.m. and closes Friday, Oct. 30, at 10 a.m.
The program covers November and December home games in this initial round. For each participating game, the library offers three passes: two good for four people each and one good for two people. Only the person requesting the pass needs an active library card. Family and friends can use the remaining spots.
Each cardholder gets one pass per hockey season. Passes cannot be transferred or resold.
"We're always looking for ways to connect people with experiences that make Everett such a special place to live," Abigail Cooley, Everett Public Library director, said in the announcement. "Libraries are about so much more than books. They're about access, opportunity, and community."
Casey Bryant, Everett Silvertips director of broadcasting, said the team wants the game-day experience open to everyone. "Everett Hockey is an experience that everyone, regardless of financial means or background, should be able to enjoy," Bryant said in the announcement.
How to request passes
Cardholders submit requests through an online form on the library's website. On the form, applicants select all November and December games they could attend and indicate whether they need two tickets, four tickets or either.
Passes are limited. The library processes requests first-come, first-served, matching cardholders with available passes based on submission order, game selection and group size. A request does not guarantee a pass. All applicants will hear back by Tuesday, Nov. 3. Any leftover passes after the initial window will go to eligible cardholders on a first-come, first-served basis.
Library staff can help anyone who needs assistance completing the form.
Game day and cancellations
Confirmed passholders pick up tickets at Will Call at the Les Schwab Box Office at Angel of the Winds Arena, at the corner of Hewitt Avenue and Oakes Avenue in downtown Everett.
Pickup opens two hours before game time. A photo ID matching the name on the pass is required.
If plans change, the library asks cardholders to cancel at least 72 hours before the game so another patron can attend. A reservation not canceled by that deadline still counts toward the one-pass-per-season limit.
What comes next
The pass program runs through the full 2026–2027 Silvertips season, with participating home games available through March 2027. The library anticipates launching a new online reservation system in January 2027 to let cardholders browse available games and reserve passes for the rest of the season.
The Silvertips partnership is the first offering under the Cultural Access Program. The library said it plans to expand through future partnerships with local arts organizations, museums and other community destinations.
Eligible residents who do not yet have a library card can sign up for free at either library location.
