The Snohomish Little League 12U All-Stars are headed to the Little League Softball World Series after rolling through the Northwest Regional Tournament undefeated, beating Idaho 11-3 on July 23, in California.

It's the first LLWS berth for Snohomish Little League since South Snohomish won the West Region title in 2015. South Snohomish merged with North Snohomish in 2021 to form the current league.

The squad will face Lake Mary, Florida, in the World Series opener on Sunday, August 2, at 10 a.m. ET on ESPN2. Lake Mary enters 13-0 in postseason play.

Snohomish jumped on Idaho early, pounding out five singles in their first six plate appearances to build a 5-0 lead before the first inning was over. Avery Calamusa went 3-for-3 with three RBI and two runs scored to lead the offense.

Madison Tawney drove in the game's first run with a line-drive single to center, and leadoff hitter Jaliyah Wright finished 2-for-3 with a double, an RBI, and two runs.

The team collected 14 hits and struck out just once.

In the circle, Madison Locke dominated. She struck out 12 in the championship game and 34 batters across three regional games, throwing a 14-strikeout, one-hit shutout against Oregon on July 19, and an eight-strikeout complete game in a 6-0 semifinal win over Idaho on July 21.

Locke also went 2-for-3 with an RBI at the plate in the final.

When manager Jeff Crawford visited the mound in the third inning with Idaho runners at first and third, Locke told him on the ESPN broadcast: "I want to throw to her." She induced an inning-ending groundout.

Locke is the daughter of former University of Washington All-American pitcher Danielle Lawrie, who won the 2009 Women's College World Series and is the Pac-12 career strikeout leader.

Lawrie gave the team a pregame pep talk before the tournament opener, and assistant coach Drew Locke told the Everett Herald after that July 20 game that the players "took that speech, and they ran with it."

Snohomish outscored opponents 19-3 across three regional games, going 2-0 over Oregon, 6-0 over Idaho in the semifinal, and 11-3 in the championship.

The team is the second straight Snohomish County squad to win state and regional titles, following Mill Creek's run to the LLWS in 2025.

The 2026 Little League Softball World Series runs August 2-9 at Stallings Stadium at Elm Street Park in Greenville, North Carolina. ESPN will televise all 22 games for the first time in the event's history.
